Big Creepie Stool
Big Creepie Stool by Frances Pelly is a hand-made decorative stool, inspired by barrel staves Frances encountered while on residency at the Highland Park whiskey distillery in Orkney.
Frances Pelly crafted her Big Creepie from recycled oak barrel staves sourced from a whiskey distillery. Bearing a resemblance to traditional African & Japanese stools, the design of the piece draws inspiration from traditional Orkney milking stools known as a 'creepies', and has been dictated by the shape and size of the barrel stave used.
