Flora’s one-of-a-kind designs are inspired by her travels across India and her deep familial ties to the country’s culture and energy. The ring pays homage to the Hindu Moon God Chandra, also known as ‘lord of stars’.
Material: 9ct recycled yellow gold, freshwater pearl
Dimensions: UK ring size L
Care Instructions: Brush occasionally, wipe with lint free cloth.
The ring has been made using the ancient technique of lost wax casting where an original model for the design is hand carved in jeweller's wax. From the wax model, a mould is created from which the final piece is rendered in recycled gold, before the piece is hand finished using traditional setting skills.
Flora Bhattachary is an award-winning jeweller based in London inspired by eastern art and western design. Supporting slow fashion and hand-production, Flora is committed to creating pieces worthy of passing down to future generations. Since graduating from Central St Martins, Flora Bhattachary has won numerous awards and an international clientele. Her family history and stories inspire her designs, and she enjoys taking time to understand the emotions behind her jewellery.
