This decorative vase forms part of Polly’s whimsical Cobalt collection for The New Craftsmen, which is inspired by an old book of garden poems. This earthenware piece features a pair of playful images – people waiting for cherries to ripen on one side, and a bird on the other, eating said cherries.
Dimensions: Height: 20cm, Length: 16cm, Width: 5cm
Care Instructions: Wipe gently with lukewarm water
Made from slabs of white earthenware clay, this piece is dipped in a tin glaze and then hand-painted with a cobalt oxide, slips and underglazes. Sgraffito details are drawn into the glaze and each piece features the maker’s mark.
