This collection of Drinking Objects by Jochen Holz was inspired by the theme of our Drawing Room for London Design Festival 2023, a celebratory place which sparks interactivity and joy. The iridescent glass works of Jochen Holz are innovative and unique pieces which draw us into his world of the playful and sublime.
The Artist favours borosilicate glass due its resistance to heat and suitability for lamp-working, a technique in which glass is heated using heat and torches, with Jochen being one of few makers practising the method in Britain. He crafts each piece by hand, creating unique, contemporary objects which are functional as well as decorative. No two pieces are the same.
