The Emma Burns Edit
To celebrate the launch of our new collections, Ways of Seeing is a collaborative project bringing together maker and interior designer to explore the different ways they view and value craft.
This week we explore a unique interior space as imagined by Emma Burns the Senior Design Director of Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler. For her space, Emma took inspiration from poet and writer, Vita Sackville-West’s writing room in the Elizabethan tower at Sissinghurt Castle in Kent. Emma was immediately drawn to pieces from Alfred Newall including the new Bobbin Dining Table and Bobbin Console Table, alongside decorative ceramic plates by Polly Fern and Alexandra Robinson’s Wobble Ceiling Light.
“To quote Vita, ‘I like muddling things up.’ She was speaking of gardens, and a room is no different.”
