Process

Adam Ross typically works from a potter’s wheel, throwing thick cylindrical forms before slicing the clay to create a multi-faceted surface, and applying glaze to transform the material into something unpredictable and unique. For this piece, Adam uses a combination of black and toasted stoneware clays, finishing with his own hand-mixed glaze.
