The pots are thrown on the wheel in the traditional manner & simply decorated with appliqué decoration or sgraffito, using a basic palette of traditional slips made from natural raw materials. Douglas draws great inspiration from the tradition of ‘English Country Pottery’ that provided basic, utilitarian wares to rural communities up until the beginning of the twentieth century.
