She specialises in quilt making and modern patchwork as well as plant-based dying.
Katherine often works with special textiles belonging to a client, creating meaningful pieces that tell the stories of places, people and culture. Katherine’s studio works across a vast range of materials and production methods. Gathering materials for the making process - from growing plants to process into dye, to sorting through a textile recycling centre to find cloth.
Underpinning each project is research into how we extract from and interact with the material world - aiming to make positive change for a sustainable future.
