Louisa’s background in painting informs her textiles through a harmony of line, form and composition. With Louisa taking inspiration from various cultures, including the hand block printing heritage of Northern India. She uses simple geometric form and shape, embracing the nuances and subtle variation the process offers. These patterns are then finished with flecks of colour by hand.
Louisa has recently collaborated with her partner and furniture maker William Waterhouse on pieces exclusive to The New Craftsmen.
