Whilst much of her inspiration comes from the natural world, it is her desire to experiment that truly feeds her creativity and drives her practice forward.
Employing a range of traditional basketry and craft techniques, Maggie creates contemporary interior pieces, including wall features, sculptural pieces, large vessels, and functional baskets. In May 2017, Maggie was awarded the prize for the Best Body of New Work, as a part of Clerkenwell Open Studios. She graduated from the City Literary Institute’s Creative Basketry course in 2004, the last professional basket making course in the UK.
