She spins her own wool on a spinning wheel comprising a humble bobbin screwed onto a treadle sewing-machine base. Directly spun from British fleeces, Rachel uses natural wool left to its own original colour creating entirely unique rugs.
For Rachel her pieces truly start to become of interest during the weaving process, where final colour graduations and textures are so dependent on each strand that is used in combination with another.
