The landscape is a potent source of inspiration for Romilly. She poetically describes her creative inspiration: "everywhere we walk in this country there are treasures beneath our feet and I am touched that a particular find comes to me, and that I can give it a new life, whilst referencing the place from which it emerged."
Romilly trained at Camberwell School of Art and Craft in the 1970s; worked as a bookbinder for 25 years before starting to make jewellery in 1998.
