Susie has been weaving for over twenty years, watching her work evolve from a love of prehistoric textiles and an interest in archaeology.
Reflecting back to what was made by hand rather than machine – Susie has a method of ‘beating down’ the yarn by hand, creating an unusual and organic quality. The unevenness of the yarn and the surface qualities inherent in the weave give her pieces texture and life.
