Maker's Quote
I am interested in image making and how it can be translated into something tangible, something with character. My influences stem from trips away. I love Scandinavia, and the outdoors, quaint villages, grand country houses, Staffordshire pottery, folk and outsider art. I thrive on variety.
Illustrator & Ceramicist
The Process
Heavily inspired by the likes of Picasso and Hylton Nel, Alex handmakes every ceramic piece using white earthenware, cast in small batches. The work is then hand-painted and decorated using underglaze paints, after which a transparent glaze is applied.
