Mourne Textiles

Mourne Textiles is a family-run workshop and studio creatiny handwoven textiles, nestled in the foot of the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland. Mourne Textiles was started by Gerd Hay-Edie in 1954, employing local farmer’s daughters at the studio’s loom sourcing her yarns from a mill in Donegal. Mourne studios is now run by Gerd’s daughter Karen and her grandson Mario. The duo are breathing new life into Gerd’s extensive legacy with their collection of woven rugs, throws, cushions and homewares.
