Marble Head Table by Paul Vanstone can be used as a dining table for up to six people. Carved by Paul in his West London studio, the piece consists of a brown rainforest marble head with a Carrara marble table top.

Marble Head Table by Paul Vanstone. The origins of the piece begin with sourcing the perfect marble block in the quarry. Paul first sketches his design onto the untouched block before carving the form using traditional tools, from a flat punching chisel to wet and dry paper used for polishing the marble.

The Maker Paul Vanstone - London

Paul Vanstone creates breathtaking sculptures out of marble from his studio in North London. After studying sculpture at Central St. Martins, he completed an MFA in sculpture at the Royal College of Art and travelled to Italy to spend time working at the traditional marble carving studios near the renowned Carrara quarries. Following his return to the UK, Paul worked as an assistant to leading British sculptor, Anish Kapoor and has gone on to have his work displayed in some of of the world’s most distinguished galleries, such as Tate Modern.
