Midwinter Table Lamp with Plain Shade
The Midwinter Table Lamp with Plain Shade, is part of Laura Carlin’s new lighting range, exclusive to The New Craftsmen. The lamp is created as an extension of the Midwinter range, which Laura began working on during our Holkham Hall residency in 2021. Laura has collaborated with the same forge and with The New Craftsmen team to explore the Midwinter design through lighting. The Midwinter range is inspired by the fireplace in Holkham’s North Dining Room, which is beautifully illustrated with Aesop’s Fables. The table lamp is based on the fable ‘The Fir-Tree and the Bramble’, a story about humbleness and living with freedom. The characters are carefully moulded in sculptors clay by Laura before they are cast in bronze. This version comes with a Khadi paper shade with a deckled edge and is complete with black knitted flex and in-line switch. International wiring is available, please enquire for further details.
