Nasturtium Cushion in Sage Green

Rosemary Milner
Nasturtium Cushion in Sage Green is part of the Garden collection by artist and designer Rosemary Milner. Rosemary has always been inspired by nature and in this collection, she looks to the plants that spring up in the garden through the season. The Nasturtium print celebrates the cheerful annuals and their characteristics. Rosemary is fascinated by the unusual way it creeps at the bottom of the flower bed, with bursts of warm colour and irregular, scalloped edge of the lily pad like leaves.

The cushion is made by screen printing multiple layers of colour onto hand dyed hemp silk. Rosemary then adds small amounts of hand embroidery to define the leaves and add texture and interest.
