A Closer Look at the Work of Daniel Reynolds

Daniel Reynolds creates abstract ceramic sculpture. His work often takes the form of mobiles – entrancing kinetic sculptures which play with illusions of light and space.

In week two of our Objects series, The New Craftsmen invites you to view a short film narrated by Daniel himself, which details the thought process and aesthetic language behind his Oval Window Kinetic Sculpture.

Daniel works primarily with hand building and casting methods, to shape forms that perfectly balance his designs, but also incorporates glass to increase the interplay between light and opaque form.
