About John Julian Designs & Laura Carlin
Julian Sainsbury set up John Julian Design at the end of 1999 with an exhibition at the renowned Egg Shop in Knightsbridge, London. In 2013, he set up his own workshop in Wiltshire allowing him to inject more character to each piece through the hand-crafted process. His distinctive design style is classical but utilitarian, with a purity derived from functionality.
Laura Carlin is an award winning ceramicist and illustrator, whose eye-catching designs have developed a cult following in the UK and abroad. Laura’s accolades include the Bratislava children’s book illustration awards, the first Brit to hold this title in twenty years.
