- Product Details
The design on this beautiful hand-block print by Cameron Short is inspired by ’The Home Life of Giants’ – the third in the trio of The Maker’s Tales – a series of short stories written specifically for The New Craftsmen by British author Sara Maitland.
"Then one bright day the man-giant went out for a walk; the usual giant stroll - seven leagues at a stride. And, as he paused in his perambulation, he heard a little mewling sound…"
Cameron Short is a Devon based block printer, having apprenticed under celebrated wallpaper maker Marthe Armitage. Working from a technology-free 1890’s shepherd’s hut in the depths of rural Dorset, Cameron's pieces draws inspiration from his deep love of the English countryside, bygone rural life and local folklore – all produced by hand on a 1904 proofing press.
