Made exclusively for The New Craftsmen, this piece has been constructed from individually made shakes – a shingle commonly used in Japan as architectural cladding. These delicately hand-scorched pieces have been cleft via the ancient art of splitting wood along its grain, then assembled on the door frames to create a fantastic charred texture.
