Verbier Lighting
Project Details
PARTNER: Gina Brennan for Vie Montagne
PROJECT: Bespoke Chandelier by Daniel Reynolds & Jochen Holz
DATE: July 2017
Commissioned by Interior Designer Gina Brennan, this five metre-drop chandelier was installed by ceramic artist Daniel Reynolds to bring drama and excitement to the central atrium in a new members club situated in the stunning setting of Verbier, Switzerland.
We commissioned two Makers, Daniel Reynolds (ceramics) and Jochen Holz (glass) to design, sample and produce a light installation to fit a very specific space.
The project involved the intricate installation of over 60 individual lights at varying heights on site, to fit the dimensions of the space and technical requirements of the site.

The final piece is a spectacular centrepiece in the club and a great example of maker collaboration across material and in a bespoke setting.
I have always wanted to work with The New Craftsmen and finally had the perfect project for them. They harness the right craftsmen to work with you to create something special.
The light looked better than I ever imagined, a true piece of art unique to the project. It’s contemporary but evokes the alpine snow falling from the sky. The effect at night is entrancing with the mirrored wall behind reflecting the warm glow of the lights.
