Tenmoku Tea for Two Set
The Tenmoku Tea for Two Set is inspired by the Mingei philosophy of finding beauty in everyday objects. This set by ceramicist Matthew Foster, is exclusive to The New Craftsmen. It forms part of a functional series of pieces, which draw upon the Leach legacy, as well as the vernacular styles and forms of medieval pottery. Made up of two side plates and two mugs, Matthew aims to showcase the making process in this stoneware set, rather than obscure it. Through the use of glazes and traditional techniques, he aims to infuse his work with the spirit of the past, resulting in pieces of enduring value. Due to the handmade nature of these pieces, the exact finish may vary. This set is also available in bespoke combinations, please enquire for further details.
