The Twins Vessel
Jacqueline Leighton Boyce
The Twins Vessel by Jacquline Leighton Boyce forms part of a recent body of work inspired by the growth and reproduction of life in English meadows, woodlands and hedgerows during the early summer. This irregular and eye-catching vessel reflects the wild flora which bursts forth and jostles for space in the English countryside. The piece is formed from red terracotta clay, handbuilt and illustrated with dense grasses that you might spot in meadows throughout the UK, which subsequently play host to a myriad of insects and fauna, including red deer, who hide their young in the thick foliage.
