The Void Cork Vessel by Pedro da Costa Felgueiras is a unique bowl lined with copper and sterling silver, painted with historical pigments. This beautiful piece is a collector's item, carefully handmade using Portuguese cork oak bark and traditional Japanese lacquer techniques to create a vessel which truly celebrates nature, tradition and innovation. The cork used can only be collected every seven to eight years, and it takes at least fifty years before it is suitable to be harvested. Wholly redefining the interior of the vessel, Pedro allows nature and imagination to exist harmoniously within this unique item.

Fashioned from the bark of the Portuguese cork oak, the vessel's organic shape is formed from the parts of the tree that grow over old cut branches on the tree's trunk. Copper and sterling silver is applied on top of the painted edge.
