White Porcelain Coral Vessel I

The White Porcelain Coral Vessel I is a closed ball shaped decorative sculpture by London-based ceramicist Lucinda Kirkby, inspired by coral and marine life.

Drawing its inspiration from dance, movement, coral bends in the ocean, including the slow and methodical eroding and creation of beautiful shapes with the tide. This vessel, with its wonderfully detailed tactile finish, will complement any surroundings whether an interior space or at the bottom of a rock pool.

Each porcelain sculpture is carefully created through hand-building techniques. Lucinda works slowly and in a methodical process adding the textured porcelain in small incriminates on the outside of this closed-top piece, reminiscent of a sea anemone.
