Handwoven by Joe, this beautifully formed vessel has been crafted using the stake and strand method, with a diagonal French rand weave. Using materials grown himself, Joe works with over 20 different varieties of willow, harvesting annually from late November to mid-March. The willow is then dried and soaked in a process taking up to 18 days before becoming pliable and weave-able. Each piece is made from his studio in Loch Na Fooey, a glacial lake situated in Ireland.
Care Instructions: wash with warm water, allow to dry sufficiently
