Ricasso Barrel Table Lamp

The Ricasso Barrel Table Lamp is a cylindrical form with a hand braided surface, made by mixed-media textile designer, Aimee Betts. 

Aimee has used intricate braiding to compose a tightly woven structure using cow suede, kangaroo and waxed cotton cords, creating a rich texture that becomes animated under the light. Contrasting with the timber below, this brocade work will draw the eye and create a focal point in any interior.

International wiring, bespoke colours and sizes available.  Shades available to order.

PROCESS

For this lamp, the central braided design consists of multiple leather strands, which are hand-woven around a tubular base, a process described as ‘off-loom’ weaving.
