GROWN IN BRITAIN

A collection of the very best of British craftsmanship showcasing makers & materials connected to place

'Grown in Britain' launched at Collect Art Fair 2023, Somerset House. The collection continues to be available to view digitally.

The nature-inspired curation features a wild, knotted cane light by Annemarie O’Sullivan suspended over Matthew Raw’s sculptural hand tiled table which sits alongside our signature Brodgar and Stitched collections by Gareth Neal in collaboration with Straw-back chair weaver Kevin Gauld and embroidery and textile artist Aimee Betts.

Anthony Bryant, Eleanor Lakelin, Max Bainbridge and Darren Appiagyei showcase a collection of new works in British wood, each embracing the beauty of imperfection in indigenous wood species. Whilst Joe Hogan, Caroline Sharp, Pip Rice and Hilary Burns (with Takahashi McGil) create works across a wide variety of British flora; grasses, willow and wood.

The installation is brought to life with innovative moulded lights by LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize finalists Blast Studio and SASA Work's enchanting wild flower light 'HADITHI'.   A statement oak dresser by furniture makers Bibbings & Hensby housed delicate ceramic vessels by Elaine Bolt, a collection made in collaboration with textile artist Imogen Bright Moon, whose trio of tapestries dressed the walls and warmed the space.
