A pair of contemporary champagne flutes by glass artist Michael Ruh. Michael produces beautiful hand-blown objects, individually crafted in seemingly effortless organic forms. Each piece incorporates Michael's signature scribed lines and is etched with a maker's mark on the base. These unique drinking vessels are reminiscent of icicles with their delicate cylindrical form, and feature beautifully scribed lines within to create unique texture and form to every single glass.

Process

Michael has worked with simple, traditional tools that have been used throughout the centuries to craft exquisite tableware, lighting and home accessories. Michael’s forms are each marked with his signature technique of scribing lines across the surface of each vessel. The technique is reminiscent of Japanese Bokuseki calligraphy – each stroke being applied with intent and assertion.
