Incalmo Jug in Amber, Teal and Purple

Amber, teal and purple 'Incalmo' jug by Jochen Holz. A coloured rim, base and handle, made using a complex Venetian 'Incalmo' technique, in which two or more elements of blown glass are fused together.

Jochen's 'Incalmo' range of glassware is produced using a venetian technique where two elements with different colours are blown to be joined together in a single object. The pieces are free-blown from borosilicate - a heat resistant and durable glass, resulting in organic, unique pieces. Each piece is a one-off with its own unique form, and is heat and dishwasher proof.
Material: Coloured borosilicate glass.
cm: Width 9cm, Depth 16cm, Height 20cm
inches: Width 3.5in, Depth 6.3in, Height 7.9in
Care Instructions: Heat resistant and dishwasher safe.

These pieces are made using a complex Venetian technique called Incalmo. Made from 2 separate pieces, the glass segments are simultaneously blown to the same size and thickness before joining. Requiring expert control, each segment is required to fit perfectly.
