Aude Van Ryn
Le Sapeur by London-based ceramicist and illustrator Aude Van Ryn. This decorative terracotta sculpture belongs to an exclusive collection of new work, which draws inspiration from a variety of sources including ethnographic photography, architecture and graphic design. Aude uses terracotta clay and a deliberately limited palette of glazes, giving the pieces graphic commonality and warmth throughout. Each impactful sculpture is one-of-a-kind, and presents a unique riff on a recurring theme in Aude’s work – the human figure. This particular piece is rigid and architectural, an abstract take on the human form.
